I harvested three nice red tomatoes today. My tomato plants became so heavy with unripe fruit that two of them fell over even though they had cages around them. They're planted in containers and the entire pot fell over in both cases. Yesterday was so warm out -- in the eighties! That's unusual for Upstate New York in early April. I missed most of it because I was asleep during the day.

I saw my first robins last Saturday (March 27). I always like to keep track of such things. Last year I saw my first robins on the 17th of March, but then I haven't gotten out of the house much lately so that's probably why I spotted them later this year ( Read more... )
